I am not an IT director, but I want to be. I volunteer at my church, http://www.laccnc.com, and am slowly getting involved there as I can spare the time from my full time job in the Air Force in IT.

I would love to get something started in the Dayton/Cinci/Columbus area. Brett from Christian Life Center in Dayton and I started talking about it yesterday–something big is happening with everyone blogging about it.

This would be closer to me than any of the other RT’s so far. I’d see if I could swing it. Madison, IN is about an hour from Cincy.

I’m definitely willing to go south or southwest to make this happen. I didn’t mean to make it sound “exclusive” by mentioning Central/Northeast Ohio. If we can settle on a location and time, I’m there.

Dave - part of my responsibilities at First Christian Church in Canton, OH include IT oversight and direction. We currently outsource most of our IT work to a member who owns a local IT company. I think it would be great to connect up with you and/or other IT professionals in the area with purpose to discuss Church IT applications, etc. By the way - I caught a few minutes of your ustream of today’s services and was impressed with how you moderated the chat during the stream. We’ve been wanting to stream for awhile now but just haven’t applied any energy toward it…. More I could say, but it’s late… send me a quick email and let me know if you’re interested in meeting sometime.
